How To Make Synthetic Urine Yourself At Home: A DYI Recipe With A Fair Warning

So you’ve come up with the brilliant idea of making your own synthetic urine at home, for whichever reason..

Let me just say right away though, that if it’s for passing a piss drug test, making your own fake pee would be a very bad idea.

If that’s not your reason though, I have nothing against the idea at all. We all have our own hobbies ;)..

Before getting to how to make synthetic urine at home though, I just want to elaborate on my point about not doing it for your urine screening, for those of you who weren’t quite satisfied with my short dismissal of it above.

Why Not To DIY Fake Pee For A Drug Test

I mean, the idea sounds nice on paper, doesn’t it.. How neat wouldn’t it be if you could just follow a simple recipe to make your own fake pee and pass your test with flying colors?

But in reality, this way takes a lot of effort and is too much of a risk (to fail your test) to be worth it for pretty much anyone, ever.

There are a lot of ingredients that you have to get just right. Just take many of the lower quality brands of fake urine on the market as an example. They do this for a living, in real labs with a lot of money invested behind it to get things right. And still, most of them aren’t that reliable when it comes down to fooling a drug test (only a few brands are in the end).

So unless you’re some kind of exceptionally talented chemist with too much time on your hands and a burning desire to use a personally hand-made concoction to pass your piss test, don’t try it.

It is WAY safer to just get one of the top fake pee products instead, that got what it takes to pass the test already, with many happy customers to vouch for that. I’ve already outlined the top artificial pee brands to beat a urine test on this page.

If you think this is the wiser from a budget perspective, think again. All the ingredients would be hard to buy in the precise, small amounts needed so it’d likely cost more to make your own.

That said, the better budget way, coming second to actually using a professional fake pee product, would be substituting with your girlfriend’s or boyfriend’s pee, or a clean friend’s and get what’s needed to keep the pee warm for the test.

Noteworthy is that I’ve not done this myself since I’ve never had any reason to. But this is what I could dig up online on what’s needed to make realistic fake pee that (theoretically) could pass a drug test even if I hold stay firm in my opinion that that’s not a valid reason to attempt this:

Ingredients

You’ll need:

Mix the stuff together in luke warm water for the salts to dissolve better, same as they would in body temperature. Food coloring can be used to add yellow color should it seem unnaturally clear. A pH-strip can be handy to make sure it’s between pH 5 and 7.

This should be fine to store in the fridge for quite some time, but even longer if you freeze it.

 

Again, if it’s not a drug test you’re doing this for, you should have all you need by now. But if it is passing a test that’s still on your mind, I will not vouch for this recipe personally.
